The Central Coast Regional Sport and Recreation Complex will take centre stage on the international sporting map, with two Rugby League World Cup teams selecting Council\u2019s Tuggerah venue as their official training base ahead of the October 2026 tournament \u2013 including the Australian Women\u2019s \u2018Jillaroos\u2019 team and Cook Islands Men\u2019s team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coast Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said securing the training camps for two Rugby League World Cup teams on the Central Coast is a great result for the region, delivering economic benefits for residents and businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a fantastic outcome for the Central Coast, showing a strong vote of confidence in our world-class sport facility at Tuggerah and our ability to host elite sport teams,\u201d Mayor McKinna said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
