ABOUT IRIS LODGE ALPACAS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We provide you the opportunity to get up close and personal with our herd of 60+ alpacas and llamas. During your visit you\u2019ll also meet our 42 wiltipoll sheep, angus cows and horses. We offer the following experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Breakfast with alpacas.
\u2022 Alpaca farm visits in the afternoons.
\u2022 Farm stays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BREAKFAST WITH ALPACAS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The experience includes 1.5 hours with the alpacas, sheep and cows followed by a delicious breakfast with the alpacas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On arrival Billy our very special guard alpaca will greet you. He will be wanting to be fed a banana before he will let you on the farm. Next, you’ll meet Ellie a wiltipoll sheep who is Billy’s best friend. Take time to meet Billy, Ellie, and a group of their friends. Ellie enjoys a good deep tissue massage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please bring some bananas for Billy, Joey and Cruz and sliced carrots for other alpacas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking up past the horses we meet Benny and the gang our flock of wiltipoll sheep. They are keen for their grain and carrots. Here you’ll have the chance to hand feed the sheep and learn about what makes wiltipolls different to other sheep. You’ll also meet Lola our maremma who guards the sheep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, you\u2019ll walk down the laneway to our angus cattle who\u2019ll be waiting to be hand fed and given a pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From here it’s off to our herd of 60 alpacas where you will have the opportunity to hand feed them their alpaca mix and carrots. We spend time getting to know the alpacas, interacting with them, and learning their personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the alpacas are full it\u2019s time to round them up and bring them to where we have breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its’ now time for our breakfast watching the alpacas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit platter, muffins, tea breads, bacon & egg sandwich, tea, coffee, juice & water. gluten free and vegan option available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the experience we\u2019ll provide information about the various animals we have and providing insight into their individual personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALPACA FARM VISIT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like breakfast with alpacas except run in the afternoons and without the breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enclosed shoes, hat & sunscreen plus some treats for the alpacas including bananas and sliced carrots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
