Bounce Back From Breast Cancer (BBFBC)<\/strong> was selected by Davistown RSL<\/strong> to receive $4000 funding to establish a scholarship for Central Coast women diagnosed with breast cancer to access the online exercise rehabilitation program, developed by Kate Perkins, the founder of BBFBC, for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bounce Back From Breast Cancer online exercise rehabilitation program is a 3 stage progressive program, designed specifically to assist women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, in recovery, or are years post breast cancer treatment. Kate Perkins is a Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphoedema OT, specialising in breast cancer rehabilitation at Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions clinic in Erina, and founded the Bounce Back From Breast Cancer online program with the aim of reaching as many women as possible Australia and Worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate Perkins is very excited to offer The Bounce Back From Breast Cancer scholarship<\/strong>, with the funding from Davistown RSL, to Central Coast women who have limited access to face to face services and are experiencing financial hardship. The application for the scholarship is available via the Davistown RSL and Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions websites until November 25th, and the 10 successful applicants selected by an independent panel will be announced on November 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bounce Back from Breast Cancer<\/strong> tailored training program and online community is a world first for offering completely personalised, guided recovery and rehabilitation for women anywhere in the world, that they can access in the comfort of their own loungeroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local leading Cancer Rehab Occupational Therapist (OT) and Lymphoedema Therapist, Kate Perkins, helps individuals diagnosed with cancer to improve their quality of life and assist recovery through individualised, evidence-based, exercise rehab programs at the Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions<\/strong> clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have always known there are women who just don’t have access to the type of services I provide and find it very difficult to recover from cancer treatment, with loss of strength, movement and energy,\u201d \u201cBounce Back from Breast Cancer offers women a series of specifically tailored breast cancer recovery exercises to help them recover faster and connects them with a supportive community of women who really understand what they are going through\u201d says Perkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program has been specially designed to help women feel confident to perform these exercises in the comfort of their own home. Women seeking additional support, exercise correction, movement techniques and further program personalisation can also book personal online consultations.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants experience increased energy levels, improved posture, correct movement patterns and optimal lymphatic function.
