The Art House reboots its popular and unique Stage Door Music Series to kick off the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept originated in October 2020 as a safe way to return to the theatre, and to give local artists a chance to perform after the first 7-month lockdown. The experience sold out with audiences enjoying the chance to see theatre from the \u2018other side\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all starts with entry along a red carpet through Stage Door into a pop-up bar in the backstage scene dock. Theatre is then flipped on its head as cabaret-style private tables are arranged ON The Art House stage looking out over the empty auditorium. Audiences enjoy SMS bar service, cheese and antipasto platters, and quality musical entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year Central Coast local and musical theatre powerhouse Andrew Worboys (Rent, American Psycho, Merrily We Roll Along) <\/em>and his band The Isolationists are joined by Bek Jensen (toured with the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel and The Sleepy Jackson), followed by Stellar Perry (from The Voice<\/em> and Bell Shakespeare\u2019s The Lovers<\/em> at the Sydney Opera House)<\/em> on vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Art House says the Stage Door Series is not just a show but an experience, as part of its mission to bring unique and memorable arts events to the coast. From arrival, to service, to the entertainment, it\u2019s a city-style night out close to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
