Central Coast Council has instigated an online customer satisfaction survey to gather feedback from the community on what they think of, and want from, Central Coast leisure centre and pool services. In addition, the Grant McBride Baths are also included in the survey and results will help inform Council\u2019s operational plans to ensure our leisure facilities are meeting the needs of our very diverse community. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council\u2019s leisure centres and pools located in Wyong, Gosford, Toukley, Woy Woy, Lake Haven and Niagara Park will promote the online survey, which opened 8 April, to patrons and the wider community. \u00a0The survey is accessible on Council\u2019s Your Voice Our Coast community engagement platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council\u2019s Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said Council was engaging now, so that future planning includes customer values and can deliver the level of leisure services the community would like to see delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur priority is to focus on what matters most to people on the Central Coast when it comes to the leisure services Council provides,\u201d Ms Smith said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want to reach the broader community including young people, older people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, indigenous communities, and people with a disability using our facilities as well as those who are not yet aware of what our leisure centres and pools can offer them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil operates six centres across the Central Coast with over 950,000 visitors each year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council\u2019s Administrator Rik Hart said Council continually reviews leisure services to meet the changing needs of community, including how people want to use the state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities and enjoy a range of program experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA key factor in the success of our centres has been their evolution into community centres with seniors\u2019 programs, team sport fixtures and a range of swim and gym programs and events for all ages,\u201d Mr Hart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInclusive programs like adult learn to swim lessons have also been increasingly popular aimed at improving water and beach safety, so very important to the Australian way of life, which means enjoying the great outdoors and staying active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are committed to listening and understanding what our community like and dislike about the current leisure services and what more we can offer to improve these services.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
