Central Coast Council is calling on the community to help shape the design of two exciting new district-level playspaces in Davistown and Tuggerawong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Davistown playspace will replace the existing equipment at Illoura Reserve which is nearing its end-of-life, while Tuggerawong will enjoy a brand-new playspace built on vacant land at 326-328 Tuggerawong Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coast Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith explained both playspaces will be designed to meet the specific needs of each community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese playspaces will offer a variety of equipment suitable for children of all ages, with inclusivity and accessibility at the forefront of the designs to ensure everyone can enjoy these new facilities,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey will be built to the highest safety standards, following our endorsed playspace strategy, the Disability Inclusion Action Plan and relevant NSW and Australian Government guidelines. But we need your help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLocal families, caregivers and community groups are encouraged to head to Your Voice Our Coast to participate in the consultation surveys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want to know what playspace features and equipment are most important to you. This is your chance to influence the designs and create playspaces that reflect the needs of the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Administrator, Rik Hart said that these additions are part of Council\u2019s overall strategy to see enhanced playspaces across the Central Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI encourage community members to have their say about the much-needed upgrade to the existing Illoura Reserve playspace as well as the new playspace in Tuggerawong,\u201d Mr Hart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
