Central Coast Council is inviting all local skaters and scooter riders to jump on board and help design the brand-new Frost Reserve Skate Park. This engagement process, featuring an online survey and interactive workshops, aims to gather community feedback to ensure the upgraded skate park meets the needs of varying ages and abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coast Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said the project will deliver a bigger and better skate park, aligning with broader reserve upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe current skate park at Frost Reserve is ageing and no longer adequately serves our community,\u201d Ms Smith said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are undertaking a major upgrade, expanding the skate park\u2019s size from 200sqm to 750sqm, and incorporating diverse features to cater to a wide range of abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn addition to the skate park, we\u2019re also planning essential infrastructure works, including a new amenities building, carpark upgrade, and sports field lighting upgrades.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said this is the community\u2019s opportunity to help shape the new skate park and surrounding area at Frost Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a chance for the community to have a say in creating an awesome space for everyone to enjoy,\u201d Mayor McKinna said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy sharing your ideas, you\u2019re helping us design a skate park that reflects the community\u2019s aspiration and needs. We want everyone to feel welcome and excited to use this space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This survey seeks input on participant activities, skill levels, preferred features, surrounding amenities, obstacles, terrain preferences, park styles and design influences. Participants can also upload pictures, sketches or ideas for project consideration.
\u2022 Draft design workshops. Sessions will be held from 3.30-5pm and 5.30-7pm on Tuesday 29 April 2025, at Kincumba Mountain Kiosk (Kincumba Mountain, Island View Drive, Kincumber). No bookings are required.
