Help celebrate the incredible young people of the Central Coast by nominating someone for Central Coast Council\u2019s 2026 Youth Week Awards!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith encourages nominations so Council can honour local youth for their efforts.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese annual awards recognise outstanding contributions made by youth aged 12 to 24 across a wide range of areas – including the arts, sports, culture, social services, education, business, entrepreneurship, volunteering, and community building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhether they\u2019re inspiring others, driving change or making a difference behind the scenes, now is the time to nominate a young person who deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations are now open until 5pm, Sunday 1 March 2026 online at centralcoast.nsw.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  5. Social Impact in Education \/ Community Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Youth Sportsperson Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Youth Entrepreneur Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Youth Leadership (Individual) Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Youth Leadership (Group) Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Youth Volunteer Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Nominator Award<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Central Coast Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said these awards provide an opportunity to spotlight some of the positive ways that youth on the Central Coast contribute to our region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cThese Youth Week Awards reflect our Youth Strategy and the priorities in the Community Strategic Plan, helping young people feel empowered, supported and celebrated,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cLet\u2019s come together to recognise their achievements and thank them for the positive impact they\u2019re making in our region. Jump on Council\u2019s website to nominate a young person making a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The winners will be announced at a special celebration during Youth Week on 16 April 2026. Read about\u00a0last year\u2019s Youth Week winners<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Expressions of interest are also open for local young people to join Council\u2019s youth leadership program \u2018Youth-for-Youth\u2019 (Y4Y) Action Team. \u00a0Submit interest online by 15 December.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
