Central Coast Council is proud to announce the launch of Laycock Street Community Theatre\u2019s 2026 season, promising a rich tapestry of artistic excellence, community connection and entertainment for everyone across the Coast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With more than 30 productions and over 200 events planned throughout the year, Laycock continues to cement its role as one of the main cultural heartbeats of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first half of 2026 features stand-out performances such as the Royal Australian Navy Band\u2019s \u2018At the Movies\u2019 concert, the uproarious Aboriginal Comedy Allstars, and the enchanting Victorian State Ballet\u2019s production of Aladdin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Families can look forward to a jam-packed calendar, including much-loved children\u2019s shows like Trinket the Robot, The Farmy Farm and Room on the Broom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said Laycock Street Community Theatre is where the community comes together to experience the magic of live performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLaycock is more than a theatre, it celebrates our local talent and helps build the strong sense of community that makes the Central Coast such a great place to live,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe mix of performances, educational programs and collaborative initiatives at Laycock help create a lively cultural space for our region. With the 2026 season shaping up to be one of its best yet, it\u2019s truly a must-see for our community.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Laycock continues to foster collaboration by hosting Curtain Bounce\u2019s \u2018The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein\u2019 and supporting new Gosford Musical Society shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Central Coast Dance Festival and Schools Showcase continue to serve as important platforms for youth and community arts, celebrating creativity and engagement across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Acting Director Community and Recreation Services, Brett Sherar said that Council remains committed to making the arts accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
