SUNDAY 28TH AUGUST at 2.30pm St Patrick’s Catholic Church, East Gosford
It’s unbelievable that 30 years have passed since the first concert by the Central Coast Chorale. Almost 250 concerts later we continue to bring the gift of song to audiences on the Coast. In doing so the cultural life of the region has been enriched.
To celebrate our 30th Anniversary the Chorale’s next concert CELEBRATION IN SONG will include highlights from Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute”. Of interest the Chorale produced the first Opera on the Coast with Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” in 2011 and also a shorter version of “The Magic Flute” back in 1995 to introduce children to the joys of opera.
This concert will feature some majestic music written by Bruckner and Haydn and, as a special treat, a new work has been commissioned by a young composer Courtney Cousins.
Come and celebrate not only the Chorale’s 30th birthday but music itself, the gift of song and its ability to bring people together no matter how difficult the times in which we live.
