Skate and scooter riders now have more space to ride, learn and connect with Central Coast Council completing construction of the new skatepark at Frost Reserve, Kincumber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The upgraded facility has expanded from 200sqm to 750sqm delivering a modern, inclusive skatepark designed to cater for riders of all ages, abilities and riding styles. The project was shaped by local skaters and scooter riders through community consultation and design workshops, ensuring the final delivery reflects how the community wants to use the space.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coast Mayor Lawrie McKinna said the new larger skatepark at Kincumber provides a modern, inclusive space for skate and scooter riders of all ages and abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe completion of the skatepark is a fantastic outcome for local residents of Kincumber and surrounding suburbs,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis project reflects Council\u2019s commitment and ongoing investment in quality recreational spaces that encourage active lifestyles, wellbeing and social connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new skatepark features a mix of street elements and flowing lines, providing a diverse riding experience that caters to beginners through to more experienced users. Features include quarter pipes, a Euro kicker, rails, a flat bar, flat ledge and slappy kerb. The project also includes a covered spectator area and fencing to improve safety by separating the skatepark from adjoining sports fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said the project delivers a contemporary community asset that will serve local riders for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis new skatepark provides more space, more features and more opportunities for people to develop skills, build confidence and connect with others in a purpose-built environment,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
