A.H. Beard have been making beds for 121 years. In 1899, the founder, Enoch William Beard, started by producing handmade straw paillasses and tufted horsehair mattresses in the Australian Bedding Mill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1826, after 27 years in production, the Australian Bedding Mill burns to the ground leaving Enoch ruined. With only a gold half sovereign and a strong determination, Enoch\u2019s son Albert decides to rebuild the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2012, A.H. Beard celebrated 113 years of supplying superior sleep solutions to Australians and is inducted into the Family Business Australia\u2019s Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
