Barang Regional Alliance & Naughty Noodle Fun Haus have partnered up to present the annual 1st<\/sup> Nations Australian\u2019s Contemporary Cabaret, \u201cNAIDOC Nylon\u201d to kick start Central Coast and our visitors into NAIDOC week 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAIDOC NYLON, sold out and brought the haus down 1st time around, then COVID hit. Its been a while and time around Naughty Noodle and Barang want to make sure everyone can come along and join in the Stereotype busting, genre-bending blazing line-up of Faboriginal + Torres Strait Islander entertainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! Is this year\u2019s theme which encourages all Australians to champion institutional, structural, collaborative, and cooperative change while we celebrate those who have already driven and led change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities over generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brand-new eclectic and poignant Variety Cabaret that\u2019s exploring stories, creativity & ideas in bold new ways. F from Performance art to Live music, Burlesque to Drag \u2013 everyone is invited to celebrate all things adventurous with pioneering artists, innovators & renegades bearing offerings that can, and often do, reshape and expand views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central Coast is the fastest growing Aboriginal population in Australia & this year\u2019s showcase is heavily focused on shining the spotlight on our incredibly creative contemporary local talent including Naughty Noodle favourites, interns and emerging\u2019s including Singer, Songwriter Corrie Hodson, Award winning & Published Poet Brooke Scobie, & Drag queens Diva D-Lish & Khandii Kum Loudly.  2022 also welcomes to the Noodle stage for the 1st<\/sup> time \u201cBlack Magic\u201d inspired by the black girl power movement of the 90s the Dance trio are also NAISDA students.  Visiting Artists to the Coast include Burlesque performer Vudu Doll plus headliners and renown Black artists Felicia Foxx (Named by SBS and NITV as one of the top 20 Indigenous people to look out for & leading the 40th and 41st Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade), Chel Torres all presented by your hostess Gadigal elder, Nana Miss Koori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAIDOC week is a very real and accessible opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing culture on the planet. If you have never before or if you do regularly \u2013 come along and support independent contemporary Aboriginal +Torres Strait Islander artists highlighting their proud history and ongoing fight for equality and recognition by the mere definition of their performance offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
