The 2024 Central Coast Seniors Festival is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! \u00a0With the theme \u2018Reach Beyond\u2019 the festival will run from 11 \u2013 24 March 2024, with the annual Seniors Expo taking place on Thursday, 21 March at Wyong Racecourse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Director Community and Recreation Services Melanie Smith said each year the festival provides a full calendar of events, with a huge variety of exciting activities across the Central Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil is looking forward to delivering a festival that embraces everybody and recognises the important contributions seniors play in our community,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil will shine the spotlight on a range of local services and resources available to seniors by bringing them together under one roof at the Seniors Expo on 21 March.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe event will feature a variety of stallholders from businesses, services, and community groups around the Central Coast. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to organisations first-hand, ask questions and gather resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe really want to see older people taking advantage of the 70+ local events taking place over the two-week festival at 22 locations across the Coast, including our popular libraries, theatres, leisure centres, galleries, senior centres and more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Administrator Rik Hart said the Central Coast Seniors Festival was a great time for older locals to \u2018Reach Beyond,\u2019 to seek out new experiences and make new friends by participating in the festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil\u2019s commitment, for all ages, is to strengthen our diverse population by creating new opportunities for connection, creativity, inclusion, and opening the door to local sporting, community and cultural initiatives. \u00a0This commitment is at the heart of our Community Strategic Plan,\u201d Mr Hart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
