In celebration of the NSW Seniors\u2019 Festival 2024 (11-24 March), Coastlink is extending a warm welcome to seniors from across the Central Coast to enjoy a \u2018meet and greet\u2019 morning tea at its reimagined Activity Hub in Woy Woy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking place on Friday 15 March from 10.30am-12.30pm, the event is an opportunity for seniors to connect with existing Coastlink clients and learn more about Coastlink\u2019s Aged Care services and local Friendship Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coastlink Chair, John Mouland, says with close to a 39% increase in people aged over 60 years living on the Central Coast by 2036, it is imperative that we provide facilities and services to connect with and care for our ageing population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCurrently on the Central Coast, around 27% of our population are aged 60 years and older, but by 2036 the number of people aged over 60 is expected to increase by almost 39% to 122,730 people,\u201d says Mr Mouland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s imperative that we have the programs, structures and resources in place to properly support and enhance the quality of life for our ageing demographic and Coastlink is one organisation leading the way in this critical transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coastlink CEO, Lynne Graham, says preparations have been underway to revitalise the Woy Woy location in time for the Seniors\u2019 Festival celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCoastlink delivers a range of aged care and disability programs from our Woy Woy Activity Hub and in 2024, we have made it a priority to reinvigorate this space to provide the best possible experience for all Coastlink clients and staff,\u201d says Ms Graham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very much looking forward to sharing this space with any local seniors who may be looking for connection, camaraderie, friendship and of course a laugh or two, as part of our Seniors\u2019 Festival activities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coastlink has been operating on the Central Coast for close to 40 years, providing support to eligible aged care clients through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care Packages, and to people living with disability through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
