Maz Compton joined Paddy Gerrard on Triple M Breakfast in January where the pair quickly hit it off. Both familiar personalities to Coasties, the pairing brought with them a refreshing blend of humour, community spirit, and passion for local content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI got into radio by doing work experience at Channel 7,\u201d Paddy says, \u201cI loved what the sports journalists were doing and said, \u2018How do you do that?\u2019 they said \u2018Go and do a radio course\u2019, so I did. I love everything about radio. Best job in the world.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maz\u2019s path started by answering the phones on Saturday nights and doing shout outs on a dance music show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom there I had a gig on the street team, then worked on the promotions team, and moved to assistant producer of Merrick & Rosso.\u201d Maz says, \u201cRadio is interactive, highly entertaining and full of surprises!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paddy & Maz call the Central Coast home and have a love for our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Central Coast has been a great place to raise our kids. I\u2019ve travelled and lived in a lot of different areas in Australia and this joint is the best.\u201d Paddy says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maz continues, \u201cThe community is supportive, it\u2019s relaxed and I feel very lucky to live where I live, and to do what I love each morning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The duo shares a wealth of local knowledge, with Paddy spending more than 20 years on the airwaves, and calling himself \u2018Mr Central Coast\u2019. The team are more than happy to share their insights, from Paddy\u2019s favourite restaurant, Three Times Thai in West Gosford, to Maz\u2019s hidden local gem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAndersons Beach at Booker Bay is great if you want a crowd free spot without waves for stand\u2013up paddle boarding or kayaking,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maz’s typical Sunday with her son Henry comprises of a trip to the beach and wander around the markets at Avoca Beach or Umina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working together on breakfast this year has been an exciting ride for the pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe genuinely respect each other and have an absolute ball doing breakfast on Triple M. Long may it continue!\u201d Paddy exclaims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maz echoes this sentiment, \u201cThe show has really settled into a groove in a very short time.\u201d She says, \u201cI genuinely laugh out loud every single day!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With local passion at the forefront, Paddy and Maz are filling each morning with laughs, fun, and of course cash up for grabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
