Central Coast Council\u2019s popular \u2018Dogs Day Out\u2019 returns on Saturday 22 February from 9am-3pm at Terilbah Reserve in The Entrance North. This beloved community event promises a fun-filled day for our furry friends, their owners and the entire community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now in its fourth year, this year’s event is bigger and better than ever, with 30 local businesses hosting stalls, training programs and demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coast Council Director Environment and Planning, Jamie Loader said the event is a fantastic opportunity to promote responsible pet ownership in a fun and engaging way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis annual event celebrates our furry friends while reminding us of the importance of responsible dog ownership,\u201d Mr Loader said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSince the event’s inception, we’ve seen a remarkable increase in participation from local businesses and pet service providers and this year’s event features a diverse range of stalls, services and training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur partners at SoCares will once again provide free microchipping and check-your-chip services, while the Animal Welfare League will offer free health checks, low-cost vaccinations and valuable pet care advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy promoting free microchipping, we aim to increase the number of microchipped pets on the Central Coast, facilitating the safe return of lost pets to their owners.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Event highlights include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said dogs play a vital role in many local families’ lives, offering companionship, social interaction and a sense of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur community deeply values their pets, and Council\u2019s Dogs Day Out offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special bond we share with them, while socialising with other dogs and their owners from across the region,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis event promotes responsible pet ownership and increases community awareness about the importance of providing our pets with the love and care they truly deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Event details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Locals are encouraged to bring along their dogs to the event but remember they must be on a leash.
