Central Coast Council is serving up Taste of Wyong and Taste of Toukley \u2013 one day event celebrations of local food, culture and community this June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Director Community and Recreation Services Melanie Smith, encourages locals and visitors to join the culinary adventure through Wyong and Toukley town centres.
\u201cWith exclusive $5 tasting boxes from some of the area’s best eateries, offering savoury bites to sweet treats, there\u2019s something for every palate,\u201d Ms Smith said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFamilies can enjoy more than just great food \u2013 with live entertainment, roving performers, and free kids\u2019 activities, including a petting zoo and craft activities.\u201d
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said that Taste of Wyong and Taste of Toukley are opportunities to celebrate the cultural richness of our region.
“We\u2019re proud to support initiatives that energise our town centres,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“These events bring our community together, support our hardworking local businesses and shine a light on the incredible food and culture that make Wyong and Toukley so welcoming.” Taste of Wyong is part of Council\u2019s annual Harvest Festival, celebrating the Coast\u2019s rich heritage, seasonal produce and creative talent.
