Central Coast Council is pleased to announce the completion of improvement works at the iconic Grant McBride Baths at The Entrance, which were funded by a Federal Government grant program. The upgrades are completed just in time for the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The works included a refurbishment of the clubhouse, installation of new shade sails over the grandstand area, and significant upgrades to the water circulation system with new pumps and extended pipelines to maintain high water quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Baths is accessible via a pathway from Ocean Parade, and features a 50-metre outdoor pool, a 22-metre lap pool, a children\u2019s wading pool, and modern change, shower and toilet amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council\u2019s Acting Mayor John Mouland said the iconic ocean bath is a popular destination for locals and visitors to the Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Grant McBride Baths continue to be a much-loved destination, free to use and open year-round. With stunning ocean views and daily lifeguard patrols, it\u2019s a welcoming space for locals and visitors to stay active, cool off, and enjoy the beauty of our coastline,\u201d Acting Mayor Mouland said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil is dedicated to delivering high-quality recreational facilities that promote active lifestyles and strengthen community connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe gratefully acknowledge the Australian Government\u2019s funding, which has made it possible to carry out this important work to maintain the Grant McBride Baths.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Federal Member for Dobell, Emma McBride said like many locals, I hold many fond memories of The Entrance Ocean Baths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was proud to commit more than $300,000 for much-needed upgrades to the baths and the clubhouse,” Ms McBride said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is exciting to see these upgrades now completed, and to join community members to celebrate this important milestone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
