Central Coast Council is inviting the community to have their say on their vision for the green spaces of Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park by 23 March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Comments will inform the draft Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park Landscape Masterplan – a long\u2011term vision for two of Gosford\u2019s most significant public and commemorative spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The masterplan will include Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park, along with the adjoining public reserve fronting Dane Drive on Gosford Waterfront, and will be guided by the park\u2019s Conservation Management Plan, which is currently being finalised, following public exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said community feedback is essential to ensure the Gosford Memorial and Rotary Park Landscape Masterplan reflects local needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil is developing a new masterplan for Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park, aiming to honour and preserve the history, heritage and unique character of these sites. At the same time, we\u2019re committed to enhancing these parks so they remain tranquil, green spaces where people can relax, recharge and reflect,\u201d Mayor McKinna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCouncil wants to hear from people who, live, work or visit the Gosford CBD to help guide the use of these significant spaces within the growing Gosford City centre.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Paul Scully, said the masterplan has been supported by a $25,000 investment from the Minns Labor Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe masterplan for Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park will help to realise the potential of Gosford\u2019s waterfront open space so locals and visitors have a place to relax, gather and play,\u201d Mr Scully said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is another example of the Minns Labor Government investing in green space to create better communities right across NSW.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Member for Gosford Liesl Tesch said this is an exciting step forward in the renewal of Gosford Memorial Park and Rotary Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to seeing the community\u2019s exciting ideas on how these important public spaces can grow and evolve into the future,\u201d said Ms Tesch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBoth of these parks are vital for our community so I encourage everyone to have their say on the draft plans to help shape their renewal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The community is invited to register online their interest in a walking workshop on Saturday 14 March, exploring the parks and discussing their significance. Alternatively, community members can attend a drop-in session at Gosford Rotary Park from 12-3pm on the same day to chat with Council staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The community are also being encouraged to give their feedback online to share their experience of these parks and their importance to help shape landscape design, heritage interpretation or future public art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
