Central Coast Council invites you to Pelican Time – an eco-friendly and educational experience at The Entrance, running daily throughout the school holidays.
The Entrance channel and Tuggerah Lakes are home to many wild Pelicans, a well-known icon in the region. See these huge birds up close and enjoy an educational talk from the hardworking volunteers at Marine Wildlife Rescue.
Time: Daily at 3:30pm
Location: Pelican Plaza, The Entrance
The school holiday period has attracted close to 9,000 visitors – a 26% increase from the same time last year. Once school returns, Pelican Time will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3:30pm.
After your Pelican Time experience, take a stroll along the waterfront to the Central Coast Visitor Centre, Council’s hub for visitor information and locally made goods.
It’s a wonderful time to be on the Coast. Share the experience with visiting friends and family and enjoy an eco-friendly afternoon out!
And don’t forget – our Australia Day community event returns to The Entrance this Monday, 26 January, featuring live entertainment, family-friendly activities, delicious food trucks and a spectacular fireworks display.
