Central Coast Council is inviting local community groups and organisations to apply for funding through the 2026-27 Community Grants Program, which opens on 1 June 2026 to support community‑led projects, events and initiatives across the region.
Funding is offered across three programs: Community Development, Community Events and Place Activation, as well as the year-round Community Support Grant Program. Updated guidelines and eligibility criteria have been introduced this year to ensure funding is distributed equitably.
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the Community Grants Program plays a vital role in supporting the people and organisations who make the Central Coast such a strong and connected community.
“Our community groups bring so much heart, creativity and resilience to this region, and these Grants help them turn their ideas into real benefits for local people,” Mayor McKinna said.
“Whether it’s a neighbourhood event, a youth program, a cultural initiative or a project that supports vulnerable residents, this program is about empowering our community to lead the way in shaping the Coast’s future.”
To help applicants prepare strong submissions, Council will host a series of free Grant information sessions, Grant writing workshops and Grant Q&A sessions.

All events, activities and projects scheduled for delivery at any time in 2027 must apply during this window, and successful applicants will have 18 months from approval to complete their project,” Ms Smith said.
