Central Coast Council, in partnership with its contractor Socares Central Coast, is making it easier for you to microchip your pet by hosting a free microchipping day at the Erina and Charmhaven Socares Animal Care Facilities on Saturday 12 November.
Local community members are encouraged to come along and have their pets microchipped, registered and relevant registration details updated on the day free of charge. Those in attendance can also access pet ownership advice, educational material and pet care products.
Microchipping and registrations are an important legal requirement when owning a pet and helps to ensure companion animals can be reunited with their owners, should they become lost. It also assists our Animal Care Facilities to locate owners of animals and rehome lost pets.
This is all part of Central Coast’s Council’s aim to increase the number of microchipped, registered and desexed dogs and cats across the region.
