Health on the Streets Winter Appeal Launch: Help Us Bring Warmth and Hope to Those Doing It Tough

Tuggerah, NSW – As temperatures drop across the Central Coast, the harsh reality of winter is setting in for many doing it tough in our community, including families and children. For people experiencing homelessness or living in vulnerability, winter is not just uncomfortable — it can be dangerous. That’s why Health on the Streets, an initiative by Coast & Country Primary Care, is calling on the community to support its 2025 Winter Appeal, running now through Friday, 27 June.

Every night, hundreds of people in our region go without the basic essentials most of us take for granted — warm clothing, a place to sleep, and food on the table. This winter, your support can be life-changing.

“We’re seeing more people than ever needing help, many of whom are facing freezing conditions without shelter or even a blanket,” said Kathy Beverley, CEO at Coast & Country Primary Care. “Our Winter Appeal is about providing warmth, comfort, and dignity during the coldest months of the year.”

How You Can Help

There are several ways individuals, businesses and groups can contribute to the Winter Appeal:

1. Give Money

Make a one-time tax-deductible donation via our website. Every dollar goes towards purchasing essential supplies such as warm clothing, sleeping bags, and hygiene kits for people sleeping rough this winter.
