Coast Opera Australia – A night of Enticement Under the Stars

Treat yourself to an evening of fine dining and fine music to see in the festive season in style.

Coast Opera Australia is thrilled to announce that it has partnered with Central Coast Stadium to bring you A Night of Enticement Under the Stars – the first event in an exciting series of collaborations set to transform the professional fine music scene on the Central Coast.

Patrons will be treated to an indulgent VIP experience, with canapés and a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by a three-course meal whilst enjoying a rich spectacle of thrilling entertainment.

Alternatively, General Admission tickets are available for patrons who wish to immerse themselves purely in the music and atmosphere. General Admission seating will be in the tiered stadium stand providing greater accessibility.

What can the audience expect… think King, Queen, Joker, Jack, intimate, lusty performances with a twist of brilliant cheek… Patrons will be entertained by an illustrious ensemble of operatic artists presenting both classical and contemporary repertoire. Tenor Tomas Dalton, Baritone Luke Gabbedy, Mezzo Soprano Viktoria Bolonina and Soprano Camilla Wright will welcome you to wonderful world of opera at our open air theatre under the stars.

Coast Opera Australia’s Founder and Artistic Director, Angela Brewer enthuses, “2020 and 2021 have been tough years for all of us. We created this event out of a desire to treat our community to something special. To give them a reason to dress up and celebrate life after such harsh restrictions.”

A little more on our Performers

Tenor Tomas Dalton

Tomas completed a Bachelor of Music in voice performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and also holds an AMusA in piano. He subsequently undertook further study in Italy as the recipient of the Acclaim Awards Italian Opera Fellowship.

Tomas created the role of Ernest in the world premier of Women In War at Ancient Theatre Ifaistia, Lemnos, Greece. He subsequently reprised the role at the Filippi Festival, Kavala, and at Arts Centre Melbourne. Tomas has also sung the roles of B F Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly(The Classics Stonnington), The Witch in Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel (Victorian Opera), The Villager in Respighi’s The Sleeping Beauty (Victorian Opera), The Notary in Bellini’s La Sonnambula (Victorian Opera) alongside internationally acclaimed Soprano Jessica Pratt, Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Opera Australia, Victorian Schools tour) and an Apprentice in Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (Opera Australia). Luke Gabbedy

Luke completed a Diploma of Performing Arts and Bachelor of Music Performance at the West Australian Conservatorium of Music, and a Graduate Diploma of Education at the Edith Cowan University. He has been a finalist in many major singing competitions including the Covent Garden National Opera Studio Scholarship, the German Operatic Award, second place in the Metropolitan Opera Young Artist Study Award, second place in the National Operatic Aria Competition and the McDonald’s Aria.

Luke’s most recent performances with Opera Australia have included Valentin (Faust), for which he received the Green Room award for Artist in Supporting Role (Opera), his long-awaited debut as Marcello in La Boheme, Albert (Werther), Don Alvaro (Il Viaggio a Reims), Marullo (Rigoletto), Matheiu (Andrea Chenier) Cascada (The Merry Widow), Escamillo andDancairo (Carmen),Sacristan (Tosca), Kothner (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg). Viktoria Bolonina

An Australian classical mezzo-soprano and contemporary singer. In 2012 she was a finalist of The Voice Australia with her famous “Bang-Bang” peaking at number 5 on iTunes and number 28 in ARIA charts.

Since her success on the show she has released her own music, sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, performed internationally at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk 2013 and was invited to perform at Metro Global brand launch in Singapore in December of 2015. Viktoria was the featured solo artist at “Ballroom Superstars Dance Ball” directed by Elena Samodanova from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Russia. Camilla Wright

A Sydney based Soprano graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Masters of Opera in 2016 and since then has performed alongside the Chinese 3 Tenors at the Sydney Opera House, a live stream performance broadcast at Central Coast Stadium, travelled to Papua New Guinea with Vavachi, Performed for the Governor with the Sydney Lawyers Orchestra and is a Young Artist with Coast Opera Australia.

As well as Opera, Camilla has pursued different paths in music which has lead her to often singing at funerals, weddings, recording as a backup vocalist, performing as part of the Sydney Contemporary Arts Fair in Justene Williams’ “A Sonorous Body” and many live performances in Canberra, Sydney and Central Coast as well as Corporate events around Australia.
