Dr. Andrew Sproll, a respected private practice dentist on the Central Coast, is swapping his dental tools for dancing shoes as he joins the lineup of Stars of the Central Coast 2024. This local fundraising event sees community and business leaders take on a 10-12 week dance challenge, culminating in a spectacular performance to raise funds for Cancer Council NSW. Dr. Sproll’s efforts are generously supported by Smile On Clinics, a network of premium dental practices across the Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Sydney.
About Dr. Andrew Sproll
Growing up in Woy Woy, Dr. Sproll has always maintained a strong connection to the Central Coast. As the Principal Dental surgeon at Empire Bay Dental and Avoca Beach Dental, he provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, emphasising preventive measures and orthodontic treatments.
Operating within Smile On Clinics, Dr. Sproll is honoured to have their support as he swaps drilling and filling for dancing.

“I’m stepping out of my comfort zone with this dance challenge, but the cause is close to my heart. Cancer has touched the lives of many, including my own family, friends, and patients. This event allows me to contribute to the vital work of Cancer Council NSW, supporting research, prevention programs, advocacy, and services for those battling cancer” says Dr. Sproll.
The Stars of the Central Coast event aims to raise $150,000 collectively, with each star acting as an ambassador for Cancer Council NSW. Dr. Sproll encourages the community to get involved in fundraising efforts leading up to the grand performance.
“I’m excited to be part of this initiative that combines community spirit, dance, and a shared commitment to a cancer-free future. It’s not just about the dance; it’s about making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer,” adds Dr. Sproll.

Oral Cancer Awareness
Despite advances in diagnosis and treatment, the survival rate for oral cancer has not changed in the last 50 years. The poor prognosis is largely due to how late it is diagnosed. As a dentist, Dr. Sproll actively screens for oral cancer and contributes to patient education and rehabilitation during and after cancer treatment. Dancing for Cancer through Stars of the Central Coast provides him with a platform to raise awareness of oral cancer and crucial funds to support those on a life-changing cancer journey.

Ahead of the main event, Dr. Sproll is hosting an Electric ’80s Fundraising Extravaganza! Neon lights, ’80s tunes, and lucky door prizes promise an unforgettable night. All are invited to join Dr. Sproll for a fun-filled evening supporting a worthy cause.
