Central Coast Grammar School Students Shine at da Vinci Decathlon: Year 7 Team Named 2026 NSW State Champions
Central Coast Grammar School is celebrating its bright young minds after the School’s Year 7 team was named as the 2026 NSW State Champions in the da Vinci Decathlon.
Held at Knox Grammar School last week, the da Vinci Decathlon State Finals saw the School’s Year 7 team – made up of students Sonny, Max, Lucas, Felix, Eleanor, Kaito, Eamon and Jasmine – compete against 157 other high-performing teams to take out the prestigious title.
Designed to test and stimulate the minds of school students from Years 5 to 10, the da Vinci Decathlon is a multidisciplinary challenge that pushes students beyond textbooks, blending logic with creativity, science with art, and teamwork with sharp individual thinking.
Central Coast Grammar School’s Director of Learning and Studies Years 7-9, Ms Naomi Riley, said she was immensely proud of the students involved, and congratulated them on this impressive achievement.
“The da Vinci Decathlon celebrates teamwork, curiosity, and a shared passion for learning, and this remarkable achievement reflects not only the academic strength of our students, but also their ability to access practical wisdom and collaborate well under pressure.
“In addition, it is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our School’s teaching staff, who go above and beyond to support our students to achieve at the highest level,” Ms Riley said.
The School’s Year 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 teams also represented strongly, with the Year 10 team showcasing great camaraderie and ultimately winning the event’s Kindness Award.
Central Coast Grammar School’s Year 7 team will now go on to represent New South Wales at the National Finals in June 2026.
