Featuring Light Artists, Performance Artists, Live Music and Fashion, Origami has been compared to Sydney’s Vivid Festival when it premiered last April to a sold-out Audience.
Tickets have just gone on sale for the Saturday 13th April outdoor event Origami “Folding Art and Sound” Festival that will transform the Gosford Regional Gallery and Edogawa Gardens into a playground of the unexpected, celebrating bold and original ideas intertwined with installations, vibrant imagery and video which will be beaming the Origami experience throughout the gardens and at the same time setting the bar for what Gosford is capable of delivering as well as encouraging visitors to start planning their trips to the Coast, last year amassing 21% of audiences from outside of the region including interstate.
Festival Producer Glitta Supernova stating for 2024 the ideas are big, bright, bold and set to work their magic across Gosford gardens, multi locations within the gardens will shine with truly immersive, inspiring Light, Music and wonder. Set in the April outdoors we are creating a garden of delights folding Art with Sound, layering Live Music with Mesmerising Light & Visual Projection, DJs, food curators & Performance Art where your invited at dusk to party into the night across multiple outdoor spaces into what will be an audio-visual feast in an experiential immersive journey to engage your senses, you don’t need to travel to Amsterdam or New York to expand your contemporary experiences just hit the M1 to the Central Coast.” I am so very proud of our team, you have to be brave to create new work, to bring unique experiences and talking points to the Central Coast. This year’s program delivers fresh and engaging content from First nations electro Pop to Headliners Global DJ Duo Stereogamous (Glastonbury, Burning Man who have collaborated as producers with artists such as George Michael, Kylie, Grace Jones, LCD Sound System, RÜFÜS & Sia Yaeji, Electric Fields) bringing the dance party vibes in between the live music and performance sets and will be playing alongside Projection Artists St. Luc who are a force to be reckoned with in the realm of immersive entertainment having traversed the globe, igniting dance floors with their hypnotic visual experiences. They will be bringing the garden alive, delivering extraordinary 3D mesmerising visual displays bringing feelings of joy, wonder and excitement to all who take it in” she explained.
Dance inside the traditional Japanese teahouse mini disco, stroll meandering 3D pathways as the garden comes alive through wild visuals, take in live music on the Japanese Koi pavilion and immerse yourself in live light based performances or just sit in nature & connect.
Great food is art too the Honest Cook offering fresh, locally sourced Traditional Sichuan dumplings & Bao buns Dumplings HAND MADE on the night using only Australian prawns, beef, pork, chicken and lamb sourced from Hunter Valley farm & enjoy our Popup Bar & nibbles.
Bring your festival seating, lawn furniture, picnic rugs and settle in behind a setting Gossy sun. Dress for a garden party, plant couture, fairies & garden gnomes, flowers in your hair, paper outfits & accessories. This is an outdoor event in the beautiful Edogawa Garden, Gosford Regional Gallery. Rain, Hail or Shine (we will take over the Gosford Regional Gallery inside should it rain)
