The Necks Bring Their New Album Bleed to The Art House

by LukeAdmin

Australia’s most revered jazz trio are back in the country following their European tour and to celebrate their newest album release, Bleed, they are coming to The Art House as part of their regional tour.

The Art House has received requests for more jazz artists, and who better to bring to jazz lovers of the Central Coast than The Necks, who have been hailed as “among the world’s greatest forces in music” by the LA Times, and “the greatest trio on earth,” by The New York Times.

In the intimate studio space of The Art House, their 20th studio album, Bleed, will be experienced as an immersive sound scape. Famous for their live sets, The Necks play with no rehearsal, no set lists, no expectations and absolutely no requests, revered for their ability to improvise their entire set, by trusting and listening to each other play. This is the true definition of a jam session, where each performance is a spontaneous creation, making every live show a completely unique experience.

The Necks have become, and remain, one of the most arresting and sophisticated bands on the planet.” – The Quietus (UK)

The Necks make the most beautiful music, at turns poetic then violent.” – Warren Ellis

Certainly not just for jazz lovers by any means, The Necks are extremely talented musicians, and their live performances are truly not to be missed. As part of The Summer@ The Art House program, The Necks are just one of many amazing shows to catch this January and February.
