Central Coast Council in partnership with local emergency services and NSW Government agencies, is hosting the Central Coast Emergency Management Expo from 10am-2pm on Saturday 12 September at Wyong Racecourse.
The free community event offers a fun and interactive day for the whole family with an opportunity to meet local emergency services, including the NSW State Emergency Service, NSW Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Police and other supporting agencies
The event aims to build community confidence and preparedness with practical information for residents to protect their family, home and businesses during bushfires, floods, storms and other emergencies, while also providing the chance to explore equipment used during emergencies.
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the Central Coast Emergency Management Expo is a great opportunity for residents to learn simple ways to prepare for emergencies.
“Being prepared can make a real difference when emergencies occur,” Mayor McKinna said.
“The Central Coast Emergency Management Expo brings local emergency services and experts together in one place, making it easy for residents to access information, ask questions and learn practical ways to prepare and protect their family, home or business.
“It’s also a fantastic community day out, with interactive displays, activities and experiences for all ages. I encourage everyone to come along and learn how to be better prepared.”
