Council is helping our community make the most of their summer holidays with a block of entertaining programs planned throughout January. More than 80 activities are scheduled to cater for a wide variety of tastes and are both family friendly and fun.

For the imaginer:
Our libraries are fantastic places to let your kids imagination run free. Not only can you borrow a book but there are also a many different programs running right through the holiday period. Some of the activities on offer include learning how to wield a lightsabre, give your vocal cords a workout through song, or visit a baby animal farm.

For the active:
Our youth team have put together a fantastic range of activities for young people to enjoy this summer. Develop your skateboarding skills or learn what it takes to master the tricks of a circus performer. For those a little bit older about to enter the workforce or still at university there is a chance to fine-tune your public speaking skills or learn how to make an awesome coffee.

For the sporty
Our leisure and recreation centres are back for a summer of fun! Cool-off from the hot weather by getting your friends and family together for a day at the pool. There’s a whole range of organised activities including inflatables or extra help to prepare for your school swimming carnival. Does your child fancy themselves as a future basketballer? There’s also a holiday clinic where they can work on their jumpshot at our recreation centres. Find out more about the summer of fun by visiting centralcoast.nsw.gov.au/summeroffun

For the artistic:
There is always something to enjoy at our theatres and galleries. From performances by emerging talents in the Gosford Musical Society through to established international acts and thought-provoking artwork the program in our creative facilities is always diverse and interesting.

For the socially minded:
Social Spaces is back at four Central Coast town centres from 1 December 2022 to 31 May 2023, offering you the opportunity to explore amazing local food, seasonal kids and school holiday activities, roving entertainment and more at Gosford, Wyong, The Entrance and Toukley.
