Something magical is coming to Summer@ The Art House.
Exquisite puppetry, silly costumes and one very loveable robot, await little theatregoers in Trinket the Robot.
An inventor sets out to build a robot with the help of his assistant, a green caterpillar, but this robot will be no ordinary robot. Trinket will be able to have feelings like a ‘real human,’ and the audience needs to help him learn about the world.
Over the course of the performance, Trinket learns that to become human is not only to feel wonder and joy, but also to sometimes feel anger, fear, and sadness.
An enthralling puppet show designed to captivate young hearts and minds, Trinket the Robot is a modern re-imagining of the classic tale of Pinocchio, performed by Little Wing Puppets (who patrons might remember from last year’s performance of The Owl’s Apprentice).
Renowned for their grounded, charming, and intimate puppet shows that educate as well as inspire; Little Wing will give young audiences a chance to explore big emotions with Trinket and spark important conversations between family members about how we all experience and navigate our emotions.
Kids who attend Trinket the Robot can also join Little Wing Puppeteers in an exclusive Recycled Robots Workshop. In this hour-long workshop, participants will be guided through making their very own robot friend from recycled materials donated by The Art House. Participants are encouraged to be bold and inventive in their designs, as they’ll get to take their new robot friend home with them!
