Central Coast Council is encouraging community groups and not-for-profit organisations in Chain Valley Bay, Gwandalan, Mannering Park and Summerland Point to apply for up to $30,000 in funding through the Chain Valley Colliery Community Funding Program. Applications open on 1 August 2026.
This annual program is a joint initiative between Central Coast Council, Delta Power & Energy and local communities, aimed at supporting projects that enhance community infrastructure and services in the area.
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the Chain Valley Colliery Community Funding Program is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting Mannering Park and surrounding communities.
“Last year, over $58,000 was allocated in funding to seven projects,” Mayor McKinna said.
“By supporting local organisations, this program helps deliver projects that respond to community priorities and create positive outcomes for the area.”
To assist interested groups, Council is hosting two free grant information sessions on Wednesday 22 July where community groups can ask questions about their proposed initiatives, eligibility and the application process.
Information session details
- Date: Wednesday 22 July

Delta Company Secretary, Steve Gurney encourages eligible community groups to submit their applications before the funding round closes.
“We know local community groups have a strong understanding of what their communities need and this program helps turn those ideas into reality,” Mr Gurney said.
“Whether it’s improving local facilities and services or creating opportunities for people to connect, we’re pleased to back initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for the people living and working in these communities.”
