The Makers Studio Exhibition

by LukeAdmin

The Makers Studio Exhibition, Creation in Isolation will open at The Entrance Gallery on 28th November to 11th December.  The bodies of work exhibited will reflect the challenges to creative practice 2020 has demanded and as such are diverse, fresh and thought provoking.

This year the Makers have been innovative in sustaining the collaborative focus of the group and in doing so have grown their membership significantly.

An online ZOOM Lino Club has been very successful and illustrates clearly the important role of the Arts to people’s wellbeing.

Expert tuition at weekend workshops from acclaimed printmakers such as Michael Kempson, Diane Fogwell and Seraphina Martin have contributed to the technical mastery and conceptual design of the works exhibited.

Artists are constantly searching for new ways to look at or interpret our world and mixed media artist Tara Axford, contemporary abstract artist Lorna Crane and print maker Kathryn Orton stimulated thinking and practice, reflected in the exhibition.

Creation in Isolation follows the very successful Make Your Mark held in the Gosford Community Gallery in July/August.

The Makers welcome new members from beginners to advanced skills offering workshops, access to the studio in East Gosford and support in
skill development in a collaborative environment.
