Cancer Council NSW – Central Coast is calling on the Central Coast community to warm their heads and their hearts this winter by purchasing a Toastie Coastie beanie!
In a charity beanie campaign unlike any other, this local campaign sees volunteers hand-knitting beautiful quality, and unique warm beanies and donating them to CCNSW for fundraising. These volunteers, often having lost someone close to them from cancer or experienced their own journey, knit all year round for this campaign, the beanies are then labelled CCNSW by local company Zibara.
Cancer Council sell the beanies for $20 and 100% of sales support local services and programs for cancer patients and their families. Financial Counselling & advice, legal services, home help, financial aid and counselling are just a few of the local services that these funds will help support.
Jaynie Moloney, Community Relations Coordinator for Cancer Council NSW – Central Coast says “We love this campaign! The beanies are all unique, and hand-made with love by our amazing volunteers, which means that every dollar goes directly to support local patients and ensure that nobody on the Central Coast will face a cancer diagnosis alone. It is just another example of what a great community we live in – a campaign made by locals, for locals. It is special”
The campaign has some great local support from Kincumber Mitre 10 & Erina Ice Arena who sell the beanies at their store/venue. STAR1045 are also onboard and we can expect to see their breakfast team, Rabbit & Gina wearing their beanies this winter!
The beanies are available to purchase now at Kincumber Mitre 10, Erina Ice Arena, Cancer Council NSW office in Erina Fair or online at https://www.doitforcancer.com.au/event/toastie-coasties/home
