Unlocking Urban Greenery: Central Coast Workshops Teach Small-Space Gardening!

by LukeAdmin
Four women of diverse ages engaged in a hands-on workshop, collaborating and sharing ideas on urban gardening in a well-lit room

3 of the Central Coasts strongest creative, gardening and environmental innovators have partnered up to produce an upcoming series of workshops focusing on growing plants and food in minimal spaces.

We know not every Coastie has a fibro majestic on acres of land, so regardless if you’re in a Studio with a window-sill, a tight villa with a courtyard or Apartment with a big or small deck let us prove size doesn’t matter! You can still grow food, have a vertical garden & even compost and play host to biodiversity at home.

The collaboration project between three community organisations Permaculture Central Coast, Naughty Noodle Fun Haus & Central Coast Edible Garden Trail is part of a greater upcoming project called  “Wilding Gosford, Urban Jungle project” and is also supported by Our Green Sanctuary.

“With the majority of the population across renters and homeowners living in apartments in Gosford Wilding Gosford is an opportunity to collaborate with community and neighbours, and we cannot wait to embrace new and existing residents with the natural diversity of the planet”.

Everyone is encouraged to register for this weekend’s 1st workshop at the Fun Haus Factory in Kibble Park Gosford to get their hands dirty (or not) with the Deck to Dinner Urban Garden Workshop which will be focusing on giving participant’s the start-up knowledge to grow your own herbs and veggies in pots on windowsill to balcony Vertical gardens there is always space for growing herbs, flowers and vegetables.
