Get Creative and Connect at the Monthly Crafternoon

by LukeAdmin

Looking for a laid-back, feel-good way to spend an afternoon? The Central Coast Craft Club is inviting locals of all ages, genders and backgrounds to join a monthly Crafternoon at Funhaus Factory, Gosford – a welcoming space for creativity, connection and community.

Each month, makers and dabblers alike gather to knit, sew, paint, crochet, bead, sketch or simply explore something new in a relaxed and inclusive environment. Attendees bring their own projects and work side by side with other creators of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, this is a space to unwind, connect and enjoy a few hours of creativity alongside good food, friendly faces and plenty of inspiration.

Craft Club is a monthly creative hangout on the first Saturday of every month where participants not only work on something handmade, but also with new friends, fresh ideas and a sense of accomplishment. Organisers emphasise that it is designed to be an open, welcoming and stress-free experience. “We want people to feel like they belong here – whether they’re coming with friends or arriving alone, there’s always a seat at the table. It’s about more than making something with your hands – it’s about building community and giving people a moment of joy, relaxation and connection,” they explain.

Crafting in groups has been shown to offer far more than just fun. Studies highlight that creative activities can reduce stress, boost mental health and promote mindfulness, while the social connections forged in group settings play an important role in reducing isolation and creating a sense of belonging. Engaging in craft together stimulates the mind, enhances confidence and allows people to express themselves in ways that uplift their wellbeing.

The Central Coast Craft Club is about more than making things – it’s about creating experiences, friendships and moments of joy. Every month, Funhaus Factory becomes a place to share stories, learn new skills and explore creativity in a way that is welcoming to all.
