In 1995, our founding members decided to place an ad in the local paper asking if anyone would be interested in forming a social club for Over 55s – twelve people attended that first meeting.
From then, our club grew substantially and at one stage exceeded 100 members. Today, our not–for–profit organisation currently has 37 members and we would love to see that number grow.
We conduct varied outings, using our Gold Opal cards, to keep transport costs down. If you are apprehensive about venturing out solo, the benefit of our club is that we run group activities, so you know you’ll have support and friendship – we adventure together! We look out for one another as friends do. We also hold lunches at local clubs and pubs, as well as monthly birthday gatherings and guest speakers. If this sounds like a group you’d like to get involved with, we would love to have you along!
We hold monthly meetings at Gosford RSL every second Monday of the month at 10am in the Gallery 2 room. For more information, contact Peter Burton 0418 665 655
