Join Probus Club of Gosford West: 45 Years of Friendship and Fun

The Probus Club of Gosford West meet on the second Thursday of each month at Narara.

Generally, meetings include a guest speaker. Monthly morning teas and lunches are arranged as are day tours and an extended tour throughout the year.

Probus is a non–political, non–sectarian, and non–fundraising body. Friendship, fellowship and fun are the foundations on which Probus is built.

The Probus Club of Gosford West was formed 45 years ago and was the 11th Probus club established in Australia and the first outside the Sydney Metropolitan area.

The November meeting sees the Probus Club of Gosford West present their annual ‘Good Citizenship Awards’. This special meeting is in its 40th year and presents two students each from the following three schools –

  • Glenvale School,
  • Point Clare Public School
  • Henry Kendall High School.

The students are selected by the principal and teachers at their respective schools. The criteria for selection is:

  • Meritorious conduct both in and out of classroom
  • Diligence in performing allotted tasks
  • Compassion towards other children

At the meeting the six students are presented to the president and members with teachers and family present.
